Founded in 2016, EthicsIndia is a Legasis Group Compnay. Our goal is to partner with organisations to contribute towards the growth of an organisation by facilitating and ingraining Ethics in our organisational culture.
We believe ethics pays and aim to create an ecosystem where all the stakeholders are encouraged and guided to implement and execute a culture of Ethics through Ethical Business Practices. A company driven by strong ethical values and commitment to upholding those values does better as compared to its competitors.
Inspired by the PhD thesis of our founder Dr Anita Shantaram, the aim of EthicsIndia is to help organisations to build and foster a strong ethical culture through training, consulting and research.
About Founder
Dr Anita Shantaram has over 3 decades of corporate training and teaching experience. After completing her PhD titled ‘Ethical Business Practices and Corporate Financial Performance: An Empirical Analysis’ in 2015, she founded EthicsIndia.com (now part of Legasis Private Limited).
A certified Leading Professional in Ethics and Compliance by ECI (USA) (2016), she was instrumental in setting up the Compliance and Ethics Academy which runs the Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional Course (You can visit the course here) and have developed multiple online courses in Compliance and Ethics domain. Dr. Anita has received the Outstanding Teacher Award in the area of Business Ethics by the Higher Education Forum in 2013. She has been faculty at various renowned institutes such as IIT Bombay, IBS and many others. She has published multiple papers in the areas of Business Ethics and Ethical Business Practices and is currently working on various authorships. She has also conducted 1200+ workshops in India and abroad.
Dr. Anita is a trustee of the Dr. P. N. Singh Foundation conducts the “Leaders of Tomorrow Project” and has also been an invitee on the board of the Council for Fair Business Practices.

Our aim is to provide meaningful India-specific data to organisations in the area of Compliance and Ethics and empower them by conducting workshops, training and certification programs to build responsible and ethical organisations.
